Reception

Laguna Gloria
5:00 pm to 10:30 pm

Cocktails, dinner and dancing will take place at The Contemporary Austin’s Laguna Gloria.

Laguna Gloria was built in 1916 by Hal Sevier, former editor of the Austin American, and his wife Clara Driscoll, and sits in the heart of Austin on 14 lake-front acres. Mr. Sevier and his wife built the villa in the Italianate style as an homage to their honeymoon visit to Lake Como. The property on which Laguna Gloria sits was originally owned by Stephen F. Austin. Laguna Gloria was converted to an art museum in 1961, and is now home to The Contemporary Austin’s collection of sculpture art, as well as rotating exhibits.

*Please note that the reception will take place primarily outdoors, on grass and gravel pathways. Ladies are recommended to wear a shawl and wedge or block heels.

The party will continue at The Lobby Bar at the South Congress Hotel, which has been reserved for our private use. Late night snacks will be served.

Shuttle transportation from Laguna Gloria to the South Congress Hotel will be provided.
